- Among all the news last week about new Campustown development (and their fancy price tags) was the kernel that yet another “gourmet” fast-food tenant will be joining the throng of student eateries. Anyone care to harbor a guess? Mine are: Einstein Bros. Bagels; Baja Fresh (a girl can dream); or perhaps the return of a Campustown Panera. Word on the street also is that Atlanta Bread Company is looking for another local location …
- In case you didn’t notice in the comments section, the owner of the forthcoming children’s play place “The Little Gym” has kindly offered all lbotp readers a free trial class.
- This will date me, but I’ve loved Big Bad Voodoo Daddy ever since I saw the movie Swingers. The swing band is playing in Bloomington on Saturday night.
- Looking to reduce some of the stress of the holidays? Deb Lister of the Champaign-Urbana Living Yoga Center is a wonderful Yoga instructor. Check out her free class at Krannert Art Museum (random) on Friday, Nov. 30 at noon.

I wish Panera would come back to their old haunt on John St. It was an easy walk from my office and I miss their Asiago Roast Beef sandwich.

A hearty recommendation for Deb Lister. She’s just so incredibly kind. Her classes are very welcoming for people with all different kinds of fitness levels and yoga experience (including a total lack-thereof). Keep in mind that if you are fit and have practiced yoga, Deb is still great because she will keep you on track and focused!

I’d take a decent bagel joint in this burg any day.
I mean, I can get good bagels from the Baking Fools in Monticello (or from then Common Ground Food Co-op), but when I remember how great the whole wheat bagels were at Bagelman’s right here in town, it makes me want to cry, a little.

I love, love, love Deb Lister! I wish I had the time/money to regularly go to her studio. She used to teach at lunchtime at IMPE and I was a regular. After the 1st of the year, I might try going a couple of times a week.
I’m willing to try out Little Gym. Much closer than Irish’s in Rantoul. Plus I am looking for recreation, not competition.
Any word on the opening of the cupcake place? Does she have a website? What was the name again?

Would you happen to know what’s going up across(ish) from Long John Silver’s on Prospect? It’s got an orange roof and a drive-through window, but little other distinguishing features as of last Saturday (11/24)
Ideas?

If I recall correctly, it’s going to be another Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins/ Etc.
