We’re No. 100 …
in the Sporting News’ annual ranking of America’s best sports cities. Mind you, now that we have Michael Jordan’s son in our corner, I anticipate that the ranking will be noticably higher next year. That’s way down from 2005, when Champaign (yes, they left out Urbana) was a ripe No. 67 (before three future NBA players left town).
At least we beat out DeKalb and (gasp) Carbondale.

All these rankings. I wonder where is Champaign ranked in the list of most pagan cities in the US. Also what is the ranking in the list of cities with slighly insane mayor. Etc, etc, etc.
