- Hopefully, the downtown Champaign clock will return from its own hiatus for repairs soon. It’s been missed.
- Check out the discussion going on over at Illinipundit concerning former Champaign mayor Dan McCollum’s “crusade” to merge Champaign, Urbana and Savoy. Even if you don’t care about the politics, it’s awfully entertaining.
- Who remembers when acting White House press secretary Dana Perino was on WCIA Channel 3? That’s a little before my time.
- Pammiecakes is back after a long hiatus. Good for her.
- Check out the first Allerton Everything Spring Expo this weekend.
- Have you bought your Champaign Park District pool pass yet? They are 15 percent off until April 3.

That was an entertaining discussion, about merging the cities! Heavens.
And — I think I DO remember when Dana Perino was on WCIA.

Hey all- don’t forget to check out the Open House at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital this Saturday! Lots of fun exhibits (indoors and out) and animals to pet!

I think that the whole thing with the making all three cities into one is so funny. What will become of all the downtowns? hey if it results in one of them becomeing an italian or china town… I am all for that! But I think I like the separateness of all the cities. More programes planed by diffrenet people with different budgets.

I do like the idea of boroughs (sp?!?) like NYC. Of course then you have to figure out the analogies…
Champaign = Manhattan
Urbana = Brooklyn
Savoy = Queens
CampusTown = The Bronx
Rantoul = Staten Island

And what does it say about me that I totally didn’t notice the downtown clock was missing? I’m happy that it’s being repaired!

The clock looks like it was decapitated …. I’m bummed that we’re missing the Vet Med Open House … that’s funny about the borroughs. Although I have to disagree about Rantoul … does it belong in there??
