Questions of the day

January 5, 2007 · 9 Comments

How pathetic is it that the Associated Press, in a story about Illinois football and basketball P.A. announcer Jim Sheppard getting the boot, had to resort to getting fan reaction from an Internet message board?

Does the fact that Jimmy John’s got an influx of cash from a investor mean that we can expect the 56th and 57th area location to open sometime soon?

Am I the only person who thinks it’s crazy that the Danville couple who recently gave birth to quintuplets (congratulations!) said that they’re “open to having more children” when they haven’t even brought their brood home? … Check out their (very fancy) website.

Holiday Hangover

January 3, 2007 · 12 Comments

It’s tough enough to get back to work after the long holiday layoff. It’s even tougher to get back to the blog, but I’m not exactly sure why. Afterall, it’s been a juicy few weeks. The news that Little Caesar’s is making a triumphant return to C-U is reason enough to hop up and down and say, “Pizza pizza.”

So welcome back everyone, and Happy 2007 to all.
