Jim Edgar called my house twice yesterday. I didn’t know the former governor and I were on such friendly terms.
Today I get to teach Peanut her first lesson in civic duty — that is, even in nonpresidential election years, we must exercise our right to vote (especially as women) even if the candidates are a bunch of losers (much like the Chicago Cubs, right Judy Baar Topinka?).
Boy I’ll be happy when this day is over and all the ballots are tallied. Count me as a victim of election exhaustion.

I got a call from Bill Clinton. My husband was upset. He said that he was going to have a man to man talk with Hillary if Bill started hitting on me.
I’ve bookmarked you new site.

Ditto, ditto, ditto about election exhaustion! So very glad the awful TV and radio commercials, the mailings, and the phone calls will stop now.

All I got was a call from a cheery young man named Nick who said, “Hi, Tully Monster! You’re going to vote tomorrow, right?”
I said, “Yep!”
He said, “Great!” and hung up.
I felt he had impeccable election phone manners.
